I am finally back at CityArt, and our June show is opening on Thursday, June 3 and will be up until the last Sunday in June (June 27th), 2021. The gallery has been given a new coat of paint, the artwork is up and ready. Very excited for this month!
San Francisco Open Studios - from my studio directly to your living room couch!
This year, I'm once again participating in San Francisco Open Studios. And since this is still 2020.... you guessed it, SFOS is virtual this year. But the good news is - this means you can visit me in my studio without actually making a trip to San Francisco!
In 2020, SFOS is using BoothCentral platform. Everything is happening via video-conference - but it is more than just your familiar Zoom happy hour party, though you can definitely bring your own drinks. You can interact with over 50 artists individually and ask them questions while viewing their artwork. You can peak inside artists' studios and have meaningful conversations about their art... or not - like I said, it is 2020 and we are making this up as we go :-) This is a new format for everyone, but it definitely has potential! The creative team at ArtSpan as well as all the participating artists put a lot of effort into making SFOS happen this year.
As usual, SFOS takes place over several weekends. I am a part of the TEAL event on Saturday, October 3, 10 am - 2 pm (Pacific Daylight Time). In order to attend, you need to follow this link on the day of the event.

Women Artists Making Their Mark at O’HANLON Center For The Arts
I am very excited - my painting, Protesters And Dog Eared Books, has been accepted into O’HANLON Center For The Arts WOMEN ARTISTS MAKING THEIR MARK show! It was juried by Donna Seager & Suzanne Gray.

50|50 is READY!
And the 2020 Sanchez Art Center 50|50 Show is hanging on the wall! I got a great spot this year: not far from the entrance, in the main hallway, right across from the spot I had last year, as a matter of fact. You can't miss it! The show is opening Friday, Sept 18. This year, you definitely need either to purchase a ticket for the fundraiser during the opening weekend Sept 18-20, or to reserve a free visit starting on September 21. Upcoming Show at CityArt Gallery - September 2020
Looks like I will be back at CityArt Gallery for the month of September. Group show opens on Friday, September 4 - just in time for the long weekend.I will be showing some of my cityscapes, including one or two new paintings that I am quite excited about. Visit us at 828 Valencia St., the gallery is open Wednesday-Sunday from 12 noon until 9 pm (actually, until 10 pm Fri-Sun).
Work for The Sanchez Art Center 2020 50|50 Show is complete!
On Thursday I finished the last painting for this year’s 50|50 show!
All 50 paintings are lining the walls in my studio. Now they will dry, get varnished, named, photographed - and will arrive at Sanchez Art Center in Pacifica over Labor Day Weekend. The official show opening (fingers crossed) is scheduled for the weekend of Sept. 18-20.
The first three days is a fundraiser - you need to buy a ticket to attend. After that, the show will be open to the public. Visit Sanchez Art Center’s web site to buy your tickets or to reserve a free spot for a gallery visit.
I will post all of this year’s 50|50 paintings as their own dedicated gallery, but in the meantime you can see some of them on my Instagram page.
